With a Calendly account, you can track where your scheduled meetings come from by using UTM parameters in your scheduling links.
Follow these steps to create and track a link:
Step 1 – Choose Your UTM Codes
Pick the UTM codes that help you understand where your meetings are coming from. Calendly supports these values:
- utm_source
Use this to show which website sent the traffic.
Example: utm_source=facebook - utm_medium
This tells you how people found the link.
Example: utm_medium=email - utm_campaign
Name your campaign to group your links.
Example: utm_campaign=summer - utm_content
Track which part of a page a user clicked.
Example: utm_content=header or utm_content=footer - utm_term
Track keywords for paid ads.
Example: utm_term=atlanta+realty
Step 2 – Build Your Calendly Link
Start with your Calendly link, then add a ? followed by your UTM codes.
- Use & to separate each code.
- Use %20 for spaces.
Example:
www.calendly.com/yourlink?utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook&utm_campaign=summer%20promotion
Step 3 – Track Meetings in Calendly
- From your Home page, go to Meetings.
- Select Filter.
- Under Tracking IDs, choose All IDs.
- Enter the UTM code you want to track.
- Export the filtered list as a CSV file to use in a spreadsheet.
Note
UTM values must be 255 characters or less. If they’re longer, they may not be tracked.
