How to set up basic notifications

Before you begin

  • Owners, admins, and users can set up basic notifications for their event types.
  • Legacy Essentials plan users can only use default email notifications.

Enable or disable basic notifications

  1. From the Scheduling page, select the event type you want to update.
  2. At the bottom of the editor, select More options.
  3. Open the Notifications and workflows section.
  4. Find the notification you want to update, then select the  14146649319831 three dots next to it.
  5. Toggle the notification On or Off.
  6. Select Save changes.

Personalize email and text notifications

If you're on the Standard plan or higher, you can customize:

  • The subject line of a basic email notification
  • The body of a basic email or text message
  • The dynamic variables used in a message

To edit a notification message:

  1. From the Scheduling page, select the event type you want to update.
  2. At the bottom of the editor, select More options.
  3. Open the Notifications and workflows section.
  4. Find the notification you want to change and select the 14146649319831 three dots > Edit.
  5. Update the message subject or body as needed.

To add or remove a dynamic variable:

  1. From the Scheduling page, select the event type you want to update.
  2. At the bottom of the editor, select More options.
  3. Open the Notifications and workflows section.
  4. Find the notification you want to change and select the 14146649319831 three dots > Edit.
  5. Select + Variables and choose the variable you want to include OR remove Variables you no longer want included. 
  6. Select Save and close.
