Understanding domain control messages in Calendly
Calendly shows a domain control message when your organization manages the email domain you're using. This article explains what that message means, why you're seeing it, and what you can do next.
When you'll see a domain control message
If you're creating a new account with an email that uses a protected domain, you’ll see this message:
If you're updating your email in Login preferences, this message may appear:
This means that if you are a part of this organization, you will need to ask for access into their Calendly account. You can request to join their organization using the button in the message.
If you want to create a separate account, you can still do so. However, you will need to sign up with a personal domain instead.
What the message means
Your organization has claimed this domain in Calendly. This helps admins manage accounts and protect company data.
If you're part of that organization:
- Select the Request to join organization button in the message.
- Your request will be sent to the organization’s Calendly admin or owner.
Want to use Calendly independently?
If you don't want to join the organization, you can still sign up or update your email using a personal domain.
