Calendly follows your Google Calendar notification settings for any events it schedules. This means Google is in control of how you’re reminded about upcoming meetings—not Calendly.

Note

These notifications are not managed in Calendly. To make changes, you'll need to adjust your Google Calendar settings.

How you’ll receive notifications

Depending on your Google Calendar settings, you may receive:

  • Email notifications
  • Desktop notifications (appear outside your browser when Google Calendar is open)
  • Alerts inside Google Calendar

Note

If an invitee doesn’t use Google Calendar, Google will still send them email notifications when an event is created, updated, or canceled.

Can I customize these notifications?

Yes! Google lets you manage notifications at different levels:

  • For all calendars
  • For a specific calendar
  • For a specific event

To update your Google Calendar notification settings, follow Google’s instructions here.
